Free Agents |
Gold Coins are used to bid on free agents. Each bid you make will cost one Gold Coin. There are usually multiple knockout rounds after the first qualifying bidding round. Only one bid is needed to qualify for the next knockout round. Place multiple bids in the same round only drives up the player's price. |

Game Strategy |
Choose a strategy that plays into the strengths of your lineup. There are two defensive sets and three offensive formations to choose from. If needed use the Struggling QB option under the "Auto Subs" strategy menu if your backup QB has similar stats to your starter. If not, keep your starter in the game unless he gets injured. |
|
Salaries |
Each of your player's salary cost will be subtracted from your overall cash after each game. Having too many players with high salaries can drain your finances. If you need to reduce costs, bid on slightly less talented free agents and increase their abilities through training. Although releasing a player will saves you from having to paying his salary, you will get nothing back. Instead, use the "Auction Player" option to get rid of him for cash. |

Skills |
The cheapest and easiest way to raise your team's overall skill is to run a few practice activities each day. Although your players will progress at different rates, using the Lift or Scrimmage commands usually will add a skill point to at least one player. However, raising practice intensity may also increase the risk of injury. Do not practice too close to game time. Players will regain energy at a rate of 5% every three hours. Try to time your practices to allow all your starters to be at 100% at game time. Also consider recovery time when you choose your drills and set intensities. |
|
Team Selection |
Because all teams have similar overall ratings, choosing a particular team should be made by how their individual talent is distributed. For example, if you prefer a running game, select a team that has players that are strong in that regard.
