Backup Your Minecraft World |
The directory on your computer for Minecraft saved worlds and settings differs depending on what OS you’re running.
On Windows: C:UsersusernameAppDataRoaming.minecraft
Take note that the AppData directory is hidden, so be sure to show hidden files from within Folder Options.
On Mac OS: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/minecraft
On Linux: /home/username/.minecraft
The "Saves" folder is what you want to back up. |

Best Way To Fight Monsters Without Taking Damage |
The best way to do this is to charge at them from a distance, creating a greater knockback, pushing them away so they can't deal any damage to you. Then walking backwards away from them and charge attacking again and again until you defeat the monster. This is the easiest and least material consuming way, considering for a bow you need to craft several arrows, which take up resources and time gathering them.

Command Prompt Cheats: Game Mode Switching |
In Singleplayer, whenever you press "T" on your keyboard, a command prompt screen will appear in the bottom corner. Use the cheats below to switch between survival mode and creative mode. As long as you clicked "Allow Cheats: On" when creating the world (under the "More World Options" button), these cheats will work. Switching between Survival and Creative modes can be quite useful. For example: If you switch to Creative Mode after a respawn, you can fly to the spot where you died to quickly retrieve your items. You can also switch to creative to prevent death; when you're caught in lava or water, switching to creative will make you invincible as long as you're still in that mode. Creative Mode has every item available through a selection screen, accessible in the same way as the normal inventory screen. You can use it to select an item you need, such as food or weapons, and dragging the item(s) to the "Survival Inventory" tab or the quick access bar.

Duplicate Any Item |
Items you'll need:
Diamond Pickaxe (to mine Obsidian)
14 Obsidian Blocks
Flint and Steel (use 1 Iron Ingot and 1 Flint to create this item)
Crafting Bench
2 Water Sources
20+ Building Material Blocks of your choice
1 of any item you want to duplicate
First, build a Nether Portal.
Second, build a 1 tall x 7 long x 2 wide canal behind the portal.
Third, remove one block about 5 blocks away from the Nether Portal from one side of the canal and place a workbench where the block was.
Fourth, place 2 water sources at the end of the canal opposite of the Nether Portal.
Fifth, activate the Nether Portal using the Flint and Steel tool.
To dupe an item, stand at the end of the canal where you placed the water sources and activate the Crafting Table. Place the desired item into the Crafting Grid. At this point, the water will push you into the Portal. It's important to not exit the menu yourself. Once you're in the portal, the Crafting Screen will disappear and you'll see the item you placed inside the Crafting Grid drop onto the floor in front of you. At this point, step out of the portal and pick up your item. When you've picked it up, open your inventory and right click on your item. You will see the item picked up as normal, but a 2nd "copy" of the item will be below your cursor. That item is your duped item. Place the non-duped item anywhere in your inventory and left-click on the duped item. Now right click anywhere in your inventory and you'll see the item increase by 1 with every right-click. You can store the duped item in a chest for later use if you wish. When you're satisfied, step away from the Nether Portal and go about your business. Happy cheating! (Note: You'll still see a "permanent" copy of your item that won’t go away when you pick it up. That item is the duped item and will remain there for either 5 minutes and disappear, or use Flint and Steel to burn and destroy the item.) (Also note that this does not work in Multiplayer.
Enjoy!

Infinite Water Supply |
There are a lot of reasons that you'll want to have a Bucket of Water on your hands (fire, building, farming, irritating friends, making a moat, etc.), but it can get really irritating having to run down to the ocean every tie you want some. Follow this quick tutorial, and you can have a small, endlessly full pool of water wherever you want it.
You'll need an Iron Bucket and the ability to dig into the floor a little.
1. Dig a 2 by Hole in the ground that is 1 square deep
2. Fill your bucket/s with water from the ocean or a lake. You only need 2 deposits, so taking 2 buckets is recommended.
3. Bring the water back to your base and pour 1 Bucket in each corner of the square in the ground.
If done correctly, you should have a still 2 by 2 pool of water. Every time you take a bucket and use it on any of the squares, the others refill it to fullness.
Alternate method you could use: You will need 2 water buckets. Now dig a STRAIGHT line with 3 holes like this: If "=" equals a line, make this "===". Dig 3 holes STRAIGHT and then put 1 water bucket in each end and then get the Water from the middle and the water well keep regening so the water is Infinite. |

Make A Fridge |
First you need one block of iron which can be crafted from 9 iron ingots. Then make an iron door the same way you would make a normal door except with iron ingots. Make a stone button with 1 piece of cobble. Last make a dispenser. I don't know the recipe for a dispenser so just google it. To put it together place the block of iron on the spot you wish to make your fridge. Then put the dispenser on top. Put the door on the side the dispenser is facing. Last put the button on the side and you have a fridge.
