Portal: Box Head Pictures |
On the level where you get the companion cube after you run past the energy balls and are in the room with the three elevators, there are two doors leading to a catcher, and a platform that is pushed out of the wall. Walk up to the platform that is pushed out. Crouch behind it and walk through the opening. On the left hand side are a group of pictures of people with boxes for heads and hearts around them. |
|
Portal: Chamber 18 |
At the end of the advanced map for Chamber 18, you will have the same raised platforms as you did in the normal one except now after you leave the lower one, it falls into the toxic water. This forces you to be more precise with your portal jumps. However, you can get past this easily. Do the platform jumping as usual, but if you miss just land on the platform you came out of. You should be able to fire an opposite color portal at the wall where you entered this area, allowing you to go back to the start. All the platforms rise again and the portal is still where you left it. You can now fall into the pit again and be able to portal jump to the next ledge. This take longer but does not require precise timing. |

|
Portal: Fun With Turrets |
You can pick them up, toss them around, make them fall indefinitely through two portals, drop a cube on them, etc. Also try the following. Use the incandescent particle field in front of the exit. The computer voice said before that all objects other than yourself and the portal gun will be destroyed. Pick up a turret and toss it into the energy field. The turret will say "ayayayay" as if being electrocuted and disintegrate. |
|
Portal: Level Select |
Press Left(4), L1, Right(4), R1 during game play. |
|
Portal: Objects Through Particle Field |
The primary objective is to create two portals, one on either side of the field. First, enable the "Portal anywhere" code. Then, shoot one portal on the ground where the particle field is in the middle of the portal. To do this, aim your portal gun as close to the bottom of the field as you can that will still create a portal. Shoot another portal on the ground so that when you look through that portal, the line of the particle field cuts across the portal. Try and enter through the portal on the elevator side without touching the field. Once this is achieved, you may now shoot the color portal below the particle field anywhere you can in the elevator room. You will now have two portals on either side of the field. However, do not touch the field or both portals will be erased. Simply go through the portal and you may bring objects (for example, the companion cube) through to the next level. Note: Be careful where you shoot the portal in the elevator room; if you go through it you may fall through the map. |
|
Portal: Overheating Xbox 360 |
Play the level where you face off with the laser guided robots. Once you get past the first few robots, you must start dropping the boxes on the robots heads so that they fall over. In the little place that you find the first two boxes, crouch and walk behind where the boxes were. You will find a little room with odd music playing and graffiti on the walls that says things such as "The cake is a liar". There also seems to be an Xbox 360 with a pot inside of it. The Xbox 360 is overheating and boiling the water. |
|
Portal: Still Alive Song |
Listen to the radio in the room you start out in. If the music sounds familiar, it is because the song is an up-tempo version of the "Still Alive". |
|
Portal: Talking Toilet |
In the holding cell you start at, walk up to the toilet and press [Use]. After a flushing sound the toilet will say "Thank you for your obeisance". |
|
Team Fortress 2: Faster Construction |
As an engineer, do not wait for your building. Simply whack it with the wrench so that it builds faster. |
|
Team Fortress 2: Finding Spies |
When searching for spies, look out for certain disguises. If a spy is disguised as a scout, he will be moving slower that a usual scout would. If a spy is disguised as a medic, he will not have an ubercharge. Also, watch out for "teammates" closely following other teammates. Chances are they are trying to backstab them.
Be very observant of all your teammates. A spy will have your name when you see them. Make sure to check if anyone is following you for "no reason", or if someone is coming in the opposite direction of your base. Also be careful to talk to everyone. If the person does not talk to you, they either do not have a mic or is a spy. You could also shoot everyone you see. Teammates will not get hurt. If a spy is shot they will not show themselves; you must shoot them a good amount. If the bullets do not go through the "teammate", it is most likely a spy. Remember to look out for unusual movement. A spy disguised as a scout will be slower and spy disguised as a heavy will be faster. You also might want to set up a system where whenever someone sees a teammate they shoot a round off. Spies cannot shoot or their cover is blown. There is no reason for any teammate to follow you. Spies can also destroy sentries, espensers and other things without blowing their cover. If no one but you and someone else is around and your gun just got destroyed, open fire or beat him down with your wrench. Follow these tips and spies will be changing classes quickly. You can also play a spy a few times, to quickly learn the advantages and disadvantages of that class.
There are several ways to reveal an enemy spy. Walking into a spy will make him translucent for a moment. You can walk through teammates, but cannot walk through disguised enemy spies. Attack the spy if you come across him, as all he can do run away. Igniting a cloaked enemy spy will set him on fire and distinguishes him with an enemy-colored glow.
A spy disguised as a medic will not have the ubercharge/kritzkrieg percentage display under the name.
When disguised, the health shown for a spy is never in the red zone. If you see someone with health in the red, it is not a spy. If not, pay attention.
The spy is always showing the primary weapon for a particular class. They cannot show melee or secondary weapons. If one of your teammates is showing any other weapon, you can be sure that it is not a spy. The following is a list of the primary weapons for each class.
Scout: Scattergun
Soldier: Rocket launcher
Heavy: Minigun
Demoman: Grenades launcher
Engineer: Shotgun
Medic: Syringues launcher
Spy: Handgun
Sniper: Sniper rifle
Pyro: Flamethrower
A spy cannot shoot or he will loose his cover. If a teammate does not seem to be shooting, it could be a spy.
If a teammate is voice chatting at the moment you see him without the "?" sign indicating this is happening, it is a spy.
This trick works when a teammate is dead. If you know that he just got killed but see him running near you, it is a spy. The same applies if he is calling "Medic" while the real one is dead.
This requires a medic with the upgraded syringes gun. Shoot some syringes at teammates. If one of them is showing the crosses indicating that you are hitting an enemy, it is a spy.
If you see a blue ball or a red ball near dispensers, it is a cloaked spy. |

Team Fortress 2: Stickies |
If you play Demoman on a map with capture points, do not forget to put stickies on it. If an enemy walks on it, you can explode him with your stickies. However, do not be dead at that time because your bombs will be destroyed if you are killed.
You can also do high jumps with your stickies. Jump on one and detonate it. It will cost life but this can buy you some time for reaching places that only a Soldier or a Demoman can normally access (for example, the roof on Gravelpit, capture point B). Don't
Stickies are more efficient for destroying buildings than your normal grenades. It can be devastating if you are ubered. |
