to get all the pokemon, you need to trade with ruby/sapphire/emerald for the 3rd generation pokemon and you need to trade with colosseum to get the 2nd generation pokemon. not to mention you need the other version (in this case leaf green) to get all the version exclusives, plus you need both ruby and sapphire to get both of THEIR version exclusives.
