This is bascially a port of the SNES version of Super Mario Brothers 3 that was
in the Super Mario All Stars Pak, with a few minor adjustments. However,
compared to the NES version of it, the graphics are greatly improved. Along
with the graphics improvement, the sound has been enhanced, and it's better
than ever!
As with all the other Super Mario Advance games, the Mario Bros. Arcade game is
included, but nobody really ever play it. I may do a bit on that in a later
version, but for now, I'm concentrating on SMB3.

(From Instruction Booklet)
The Mushroom Kingdom has remained a peaceful place, thanks to the brave deeds
of Mario and Luigi. However, the Mushroom Kingdom forms an entrance to the
Mushroom World, a place where all is not well.
Bowser sent his seven children to make mischief in this normally peaceful land.
As their first order of business, they stole the royal magic wands form each
country in the Mushroom World and used them to turn the kings into animals.
Mario and Luigi must recover the royal magic wands to return the kings to their
true forms. As Mario and Luigi set off on their journey deep into the Mushroom
World, Princess Peach and Toad have but one thing to say:
"Good-bye, and good luck!"

There are eight worlds in Super Mario Bros. 3, each with a different theme.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
World 1 - Grass World
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-*-*-*-
Level 1
*-*-*-*
This is a nice, easy level to get you started. It is pretty straight-forward,
but holds some simple secrets.
Get the mushroom from the top ? box, and jump over the pirhana. Jupm on the red
koopa. Grab the shell with B, and throw it against the ? box to the right. Get
the floating leaf, and you turn into racoon Mario. Rid the path to the right of
Goombas. Now, get a big run up with B, and when the P is flashing, take off
with A. Keep pressing A, and land on an orange platform. Get the extra life
from the box on the cloud. Fly off the cloud, and go as high as you can. As you
begin to fall, continue pressing A to gently float down. You should see a pipe.
Land on it, and go down. All there is is a 3 made out with coins. Nothing
special, it's just a neat secret. You come out a small pipe. Just run to the
right to the end of the level. Jump at the box, and the level is complete.
-*-*-*-
Level 2
*-*-*-*
This is a straight-froward level, which definitely has the grass theme.
Run along to the right, over the pipe. goombas come out of it. Get the power-up
from the ? box. (I will be calling the power ups, because it might be a mushroom
if you're small, or a leaf). Jump on the box, and over the pipe. Goombas also
come out of this one. Do not get the coins. Instead, hit the brick under the
pipe (run and duck if you're Super Mario). Jump on the P block, and jump on the
new blocks, and down the pipe. Get the coins. Go out the pipe, and continue
right. Power-up in second jump block. There is a star in the 3rd jump block as
you continue along. Keep going right to the end.
-*-*-*-
Level 3
*-*-*-*
You don't have to do this level, but if you want a perfect World 1, you do.
Otherwise, skip to Fortress 1.
This level is similar to level 1. Jump on the Koopa, and kick the shell right to
elimiate the threat ahead. Get on the bricks using the jump blocks. Jump on and
kick the red koopa. Once it has cleared the way, find the secret jump block.
There are 6 bricks to your left.Walk up beside them, and jump up to find the
block. Launch into the sky with it, and collect all the coins. Go down the
pipe. You arrive at the end, but you've missed something important. Go back
left to a grey platform with a red koopa on it. Get rid of the koopa. Hold down
for a couple of seconds, and you will fall behind the scenery. Run along right.
You will get a magic whistle. This lets you skip to another world.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Mushroom House
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Here, you pick one of three chests. These contain power-ups than be chosen from
the L menu on the map, and used before entering a world. Pick one with B.
-*-*-*-
Level 4
*-*-*-*
Just like Level 3, this isn't necessary, unless you want a perfect.
This is a moving level. The moving platforms fall when you step on them. Move
along on the platforms until you reach a platform with a red koopa on it. Grab
it, and throw it to the left. This will hit a box with a power up. When you get
to an L with a bit missing in the middle. The top block has many coins. There
are now 3 moving platforms in front of you. Jump on the nearest one, then the
highest one, and let it drop you onto the low one, and jump up onto the blocks.
Go down the pipe, and to the end.
-*-*-*-
Line-Up
*-*-*-*
Here, you have to line up three rows to make a mushroom, flower or star to get
extra lives.
-*-*-*-*-*-
Fortress 1
*-*-*-*-*-*
This is a mini-fortress, with an easy boss.
Jump over the gaps, and get the power-up from the ? block. Run along to the
right, making sure not to get hit by the rotating spheres. Jump the three gaps,
and get another power-up. This is a leaf if you're Super Mario. Jump on the dry
bones, but don't go through the door yet. Instead, make a run to the left and
take off. Now go as high as you can right. You won't be able to see where you
are, but rung along tothe end, and press up to enter a door. You wil drop into
a room with a chest. You will get another Magic Whistle.
Alternatively, you can go through the ddor, and defeat the boss by jumping on
him three times. This will destroy the gate on the map. You will get a chance to
save your game now.
-*-*-*-
Level 4
*-*-*-*
This has a sort of underground feel to it, with some bits over ground too.
You start off sliding down a hill, eliminating anything in your way, and end up
in a pool of water. Get the coins above you. Go up right, and watch out for the
pirhana. you can go up or down, but there's a power-up at the end of the bottom
path. As you make you way along, there will be an opening. Go down, and watch
out for the pirhana. Go to the end of this path, and up the pipe to the end.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Hammer Brother
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
You may not encounter him at the same time as this, but you will be up against
him some time towards the end of this world. He moves around all the time. All
you have to do is jump on him, or hit the block under him, and get your reward.
-*-*-*-
Level 6
*-*-*-*
This level apeears to be based in the sky, and makes you think this world should
maybe be renamed "Miscellaneous World"... although that doesn't have much of a
ring to it... Oh Well..
Go along the platforms, and get the power-up. jump on the moving platform, and
use the jump blocks to the next part. There is a flying koopa ahead. There is
also a green koopa enclosed (in a way). The third block from the left above the
koopa has an extra life. Continue, and jump onto a long platform. Fall down the
gap, and jump onto the platform to your right. It will start moving. Get the
coins, and avoid the flying koopa. Take the next platform (moving from left to
right), and onto another one that is on a line. Jump the gap, avoiding the
flying koopa, and go to the emd.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Mushroom House
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Same as last time. Choose one of the three chests with B.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
World 1 Castle
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
"Oh, it's terrible!
The king has been transformed!
Please find the Magic Wand so we can change him back."
Following this, you will board the airship. There are a lot of cannons on the
airship, so be careful where you move. Jump the first three cannons. You're not
safe anywhere, so be agile. Avoiding the cannon shots, get the power-up from the
? box ahead. Hop the cannons, and make your way up to the grey pipe.
You will now face the boss of World 1. Just avoid the shots from the Magic Wand,
and jump on top of him. Do this three times, and he's history. If you lose your
life, the ship will move somewhere else in the map. Once you have finished him
off, grab the wand. The kind has now been changed back to normal, and you get a
letter from the princess.
"Greetings,
If you see any ghosts, be careful. They will chase you if you turn away.
I have enclosed a jewel that helps protect you.
Princess
Toadstool"
She gives you the P Wing. This lets you fly non-stop until you get hit by an
enemy. You will now get a chance to save your game. If you followed this FAQ,
you should have gotten a Perfect Clear.
