Rather than typing "xcute" to run the game normally, type "xcute hellbentdeathspew" and press Enter/Return. This enables Debug Mode, which allows you to spawn items at the push of the appropriate buttons during gameplay. Note: There's no notification the code worked other than items appearing when you press a key.
