Bounty Hunter Locations |
Admiral Ackbar
IG-88 can open any door. Go to the panel to the left and open the door. Then, use your thermal detonators to blow up the wall of junk. Next, build the thing next to the chamber. Ackbar should be inside.
Obi-Wan (Mission 2)
4-lom can open any door. Take him to the lift where the R2D2 control panel is located. Open it and go up the lift. Pull the levers after walking on the foot marks and enter the next room. Use the control panel again and go through to the last room. Obi-Wan is on the right. Smash through the boxes and he will be standing in the small doorway.
R2D2 (Mission 1)
Enter the Bounty Hunter area. Keep going forward, then stop when you get to a wall. Enter both holes at the side of the wall. Legos will fly out. Build it into a doorway. Inside is R2D2. |

Character & Vehicle Bonuses |
The character and vehicle bonuses are all too easy if you know what you're doing. First off, you shouldn't have been spending money on buying any character in the store, since you unlock (for free) one character type (Imperial, Bounty Hunter, Midget Character) when you complete all the stories.
Secondly, you need to save up $900,000 and buy the Power Block Invulnerability. You can unlock that crucial block by locating it in Free Mode in Episode 4 Chapter 5. Once you leave the trash compactor, open the first "locked" door you find (it's a second trash compactor room). Investigate that room for your much needed cheat block.
Now you have the right tools (i.e., invulnerability), you can stick to using a bounty hunter and simply lob Thermal Detonators to blow up masses of enemies as well as the shiny metal objects that leave the $10,000 purple stud in the stages (for vehicle stages, some objects destroyed leave a purple stud). These objects (in character and vehicle stages) regenerate, so you basically "run a loop" blowing up the objects you destroyed and coming back to them later.
Lastly, if you have Jango Fett (PS2, Cube, and Xbox only) or bought Boba Fett, they are a good character to have on Episode 5's character bonus level, since they can simply jet pack over the gaps in Bespin. For the most part, you can jump (once) with any Blaster using character and shoot while moving to kill enemies and pick up studs. For $1 million, the blue studs don't count much (although grab them if they are in a pile), so go for the very rare purple studs extracted from destroyed objects.
|
|
Character Limitations |
A general rule of thumb to keep in mind when creating a character: if you create a character with a gun, he or she will not be able to double-jump or be able to use the Force, but that character will acquire the Grappling Hook. On the other hand, if your character is created with a lightsaber, that character will be able to double-jump and otherwise use the Force, but will not be able to use the Grappling Hook. |

Crushing The Rancor's Little Skull |
In the end of Episode 6: Jabba's Palace, you have to beat the Rancor. First, activate the panel on the right or left side. This will cause a Gamorrean Guard to drop out from the enemy producing tubes.
Let the Rancor grab the enemy and it will walk to a corner to eat. Pull the switch next to the rancor and an explosive box (shoot it to blow it) will drop down. This explosive is the only way to damage the rancor.
Drop in another Gamorrean Guard to repeat the process. This time, the rancor will walk to a different corner but a similar switch for the explosive box will be present.
Repeat the Gamorrean Guard drop for a third time and the rancor will walk to the door where it came out from. Use the non-droid characters to pull both switches by the door to defeat the rancor once and for all.

Double Score Zone Exploit |
Double score zones allow players to gain double the credits from studs. Because of that weird effect, you can exploit it by killing your partner (2 active players only) and taking his money (and vice versa). While you lose a set amount of money, you also gain double that amount because of the double scoring effect.
|
|
Easy Studs |
Play Chapter 1 of Episode IV: A New Hope. Destroy all of the little panels that a Force user can open. You can also go through the Bounty Hunter or Stormtrooper doors and use the Force on all of the little panels on the wall. Another way is to go through the door that can only be opened with a Sith (for example, as Darth Vader). Then, use the 2x Score Multiplier to your advantage.
Play as a Bounty Hunter (Boba Fett, 4-LOM, Greedo, etc.) at the Mos Eisley Cantina. Enter any mission. Character bonuses are recommended. Immediately when the mission loads, pause game play and return to the cantina. Once there, go to the outskirts of the cantina and destroy every trash can, ship piece, and platinum object you see with your bounty hunter's blaster and/or thermal detonators. Collect every stud possible. After you have destroyed everything, you can repeat the process as many times as desired. This is a quick and easy way to get at least 20,000 to 30,000 studs each time.
Go to the Mos Eisley Spaceport in Episode IV: A New Hope. Walk up the stairs on the right. keep killing yourself. When you collect the studs you will get twice as much back.
Collect a fair amount of studs. Go to a special area where the studs you collect are x2 (for example, Episode IV Chapter 3 in the cinema). When you get there, turn off all of your "Extras". Drop in you second player (if not already on) and attack the player with all of the studs. On the fourth hit, the player will die and release studs. At this point pause game play. Turn on any stud multipliers you have in the "Extras" menu. Resume the game, then collect the studs dropped by the killed player. They will compound with the x2 of the area. For example, studs x2 (from the area) x2 (from "Extras" menu) x4 (from "Extras" menu) for a total of x16. Turn off the "Extras" and repeat as desired.
Go to a chapter that you have already completed. Do it again in Free Play mode The Secret Plans (Episode IV, Chapter 1) with Darth Maul as your main character is recommended, because he can open doors that Ben Kenobi cannot. This allows you to access areas full of wealth, minikits, etc. If you scour this stage from top to bottom you can get over 130,000 studs. Repeat this as desired. Note: Destroying containers of any sort and opening drawers using the Force will dramatically add to your stud count.
Go to Chapter 3 of Episode IV on Free Play mode. Make sure you have a Sith character and break everything.
When you go outside, get a bounty hunter and blow up everything. You will get 30,000 studs each time. Continue doing this as many times as desired.
Note: There is limit of 4 billion studs. You can still play through the levels and collect studs, but the total will still remain the same.
Go to the bar near where it states your percentage completed. Go to the filming camera. Watch a clip then afterwards go outside and blow up all the trash cans and scraps by the wall all around the building. Repeat this as many times as desired.
Go through the Escape From Echo Base level and open every door and go everywhere possible. You can get at least 120,000 studs every time. |

Step 2: Go to the Character Customizer and create the proper costume. Use a human head, the appropriate red clothing and don't forget the red cap! Santa can wield the weapon of your choice -- we recommend the green or red lightsaber to seasonally complement his shiny red duds. (Remember, the color of his lightsaber decides whether his Force powers are naughty or nice.)
Step 3: In the Extras menu, activate Disguise 3.
Step 4: Enter the character-based level of your choice in Free Play.
Step 5: Spread holiday cheer to a galaxy in pieces.
Step 6: Should IGN find your lack of faith in LucasArts disturbing, you will be Force Choked. Your next younger sibling will get your gifts and get promoted to Admiral before Arvel Crynyd smashes into his or her bridge when the shields are down in the next LEGO Star Wars.

Self Destruct Extra |
Just thought I'd mention the self destruct isn't a completely useless extra. Though blowing up your droid may seem like a bad idea, it is worth noting you don't lose studs (from the act of self-destruct). This means that you could blow up to prevent losing studs from falling, or you can send your droid, which is usually ignored by enemies, into the middle of a bunch of them, and boom. If you opt for the invulnerability extra, it's kinda pointless entirely, but it's an option open to other players.
|
|
Ship Tips |
There are several ships you operate in the game, each with a different number of proton torpedoes (or bombs) they can carry. For example, the Y-wing has a capacity of five, while the X-wing has a capacity of three.
Unless you have a good place to get bombs from (the bomb generators or enemies), save your bombs. Note that on co-operative mode, both players may overlap same target, so fire in sequential order.

Staying Alive In A Firefight |
If you are vastly outnumbered with Stormtroopers blasting left, right and center and you have R2-D2 in your party, use the following trick. First, make R2 your active character. Enemies will never shoot at a droid. Then, push the Stormtroopers closer to your friends then zap them with R2's electric prod type weapon. They will promptly stop shooting and rub their sore spot. Quickly switch to a member which has a piece that can do damage (for example, Han Solo or Luke Skywalker). Shoot the Stormtrooper while he is nursing his laser burn. After he is killed, make R2 your active character and repeat the process until you are victorious. |
|
Storage Problem |
For the Xbox 360, don't forget to select a storage device and a gamertag before embarking on a New Game. LEGO Star Wars 2 will not notify you about not saving any progress once you start playing without selecting a save data destination.

Unlimited Lego Studs |
A way to get unlimited Studs is by going to Free Play mode on CoOp, on the 1st level, getting a Sith, then by going out of the first door. Then, walk towards that open door to the right, then it will turn into a black door. Then, get your Sith character to use the Force on the black door, and go into that Double Score Zone. Then, start killing the other character and grabbing the Studs he drops out at double value. Keep doing this to pretty much get unlimited Studs.
