Divide larger levels into four smaller sections to work on them easier. Concentrate on one section at a time by clearing one of the corners and the boxes around it, then choose another corner and repeat the process. On smaller levels, consider moving in a circle. Also do this on levels that feature big holes close to the middle. Begin with the outer edge then circle your way inward to keep the boxes from spreading too far apart. However, if a box is stranded somewhere with no moves from it besides your current location, moving to it will end your game. Always ensure that the box you are moving to will have a move that can be used. Do not abandon a single box by itself, or you may end the grid on that square if it only had a single path back to that box. On levels that are asymmetric (for example, Pond and Elephant), treat each portion as potential islands and pop them as soon as possible. Restart a level to get a new origin location if you believe that your current situation is too difficult. |
