Bugs |
When safe, collect as many bugs as possible. When your star meter is full, you will be awarded a free ten perch boost. If you see a floating golden ball, collect it if possible. These rare shining gold bugs will revive you if you collide with an obstacle. They will not appear until you reach the 50 perch mark. |

Jumping |
When jumping, first allow your view to scroll up in order to calculate your timing correctly by determining what type of bird is in the way on the next perch. You cannot remain in the same location for too long. To reposition accurately, use small hops. Control the trajectory and strength of your jump by moving your finger around. To stay on the same perch, only pull back slightly. |

Obstacles |
There are various types of birds that act as obstacles. Standard birds are the same size as your character. They can either be motionless or will move before they see you. Once you land on the same perch as one of them, both types will immediately turn and begin moving towards you. They can be avoided with a clear jump. Fat birds behave similarly to standard birds, except they are slower. They are not difficult to handle when on the same perch, however they are more troublesome due to their added girth when on higher perches. Angle your shots correctly to get around them. Dash birds will appear on the far left or right side of a perch, peek out momentarily, then dash across to the other side. Quickly jump after they have dashed. Flying birds only appear near branches. They will not chase you and instead will simply fly back and forth in a fixed pattern, which makes them easy to avoid. Chaser birds have larger eyes and are aggressive. When you are on the same perch as them, they will charge at you. When you jump to the next perch, they will jump after you. You must be very fast when dealing with them; after getting a far enough lead they will give up the chase.
