When playing Tetris, it's easy to let the game pull you out of the zone and distract you with the temptation of scoring another Tetris, but that way lies madness. Instead of trying to build up perfect block piles that can be cleared only with a straight Tetris piece that may come only when your stack is too high, make the most of the pieces you are provided. Scoring two or three lines at a time might not be as exciting, but it keeps things more manageable and ensures that you're not required to move so quickly that you are inclined to make more mistakes.
