use trapinch it has arena trap so latias cant escape
train the trapinch around level 40 or so to match the level of latias i was walking around maville city and suddenly on my first try i found latias it was amazing and i used trapinch so it was all good

i once used sableye to catch latias, so its a gooooooood choice

Latias & latios had levitate so you should use a powerful Sableye's mean look. Those two's attacks are useless against it.(The sableye must be fast)

Oh, by the way Latios/Latias is a psychic and dragon type with the levitate ability, sorry not a flying type. They have #@$!n' high speed, SPATK, and #$#@!n' high SPDEF.With the attack Mist Ball or Luster Purge (depends on pokemon) doing 70 damage.Neither can breed.
