2) FAQs
Q: Where do I find (NPC Name)?
A: Please refer to the 'Recuiting NPCs' section for the information you need on locating an
NPC. If the 'Recruiting NPCs' section still does not answer your question, you are welcome
to send me an e-mail regarding your situation.
Q: Where do I find the Lafrescia Seed and the Sun Drops?
A: The Lafrescia Seed is obtained from Elder Jurak after completing a certain amount of Georama
Conditions. The Sundrops can be a bit harder. You'll need to restore the Tailor Shop from
Jurak Mall (Future Sindain), then purchase the Himarra Badge. Go to a level with the Himarra
and transform Monica using the Monster Transformation into a Himarra. Speak to the enemy
Himarra to recieve the Sundrops.
3) Walkthrough
Before the game begins, you will be asked to select Max's costume. If you have already completed
the game, you can have the option of selecting Monica's Costume too.
== Prelude ==
At the beginning of the game you will be controlling Monica, a girl from the future. Follow the
On-Screen instructions that you are given to kill all of the Griffon Soldiers.
A few cutscenes later you'll be located in Cedric's Repair shop. Head down the stiars, then look
for the ramp on the other side of the room. Continue through the narrow hallway until you come to
one last set of stairs. Pick up the Notebook on the table below, then open the cabinet next to
the bookshelf to recieve the Wrench.
Head back up the stairs, continue through the narrow hallway and back up the ramp. Walk over to the
desk located at by the back walland select it by pressing the X button on your controller. When you
are ready for the story continue select Option 1.
Once in the Circus Grounds, talk to the Circus Clown standing in front of the tent. When you see
an exclamation mark appear above Max's head, press the square button and select the 'Circus
Ticket' from the list.
You'll now need to find the boy who stole your ticket. Speak with everyone in the area and you'll
eventually find the boy who stole your ticket. Soon after, you will have the Circus Ticket back in
your possession. Return to the Clown and show him your ticket to enter the Circus Tent.
A few cutscenes you will fight off some of Flotsam's Henchmen. This battle isn't difficult at all.
Just charge up your Wrench and attack them if they get too close. After defeating all of the Clowns,
you will eventually end up in the Underground Water Channel.
When you're ready to continue to the story, talk to Donny. When he asks you what you want to do,
select "Underground water channel..." (Option 2).

| Strategy: You won't be able to defeat this boss until you have acquired a machine from |
| Cedric known as the Ridepod. Start hacking away at Linda. After a few hits, Max |
| will conclude that this battle isn't going anywhere. Cedric will then bust in |
| with the Ridepod and take care of Linda. You will then be taken out of the |
| dungeon and back to Palm Brinks. |

== Palm Brinks ==
Now you'll need to make the Energy Pack for Steve. Yse the information listed below to find
the Milk Can, the Pipes, and the Belt.
Milk Can: The Milk Can can be found across from Cedric's Reapir Shop next to Polly's Bakery.
Pipes: After you have taken a picture of the Milk Can, turn around to find the pipes located
on the roof of Cedric's Repair Shop.
Belt: The Belt can be found tied around Sheriff Blinkhorn. You can find Sheriff Blinkorn at
the Police Station located directly down the street.
Once you have all three photos, return to Cedric's Repair Shop and speak to Cedric. Follow
the instructions given to you by Cedric to invent the Energy Pack. After you have made the
Energy Pack, speak to Cedric again. You'll now need to find 1 Thick Hide, 2 Hunks of Copper,
and 20 Scraps of Metal. All these items can be bought from Morton's Item Shop located next
to Polly's Bakery.
Once you have all the items needed to make the Energy Pack, return to Cedric and follow his
instructions on making the Energy Pack. After you have made the energy pack, speak with Cedric
once again.
Once you are ready to go back into the Underground Water Channel, speak with Cedric once more
and select Option 1.

| Strategy: This battle is about as simple as they come. Don't worry about any of the |
| damage that the Ridepod takes as it can easily be repaired by Cedric later. |
| At the beginning of the battle, circle around Linda attacking her from behind. |
| This will make it nearly impossible for Linda to Strike back. Keep attacking |
| her until she is defeated. |

| Strategy: This battle can be completed easier with the Ridepod. However, if you don't |
| have the Ridepod, it can also be completed with Max. |
| |
| Using Max, quickly pick up once of the RoBombs that drop and toss the, back. This will |
| stun Halloween momentarily giving you the opportunity to strike back. |
| |
| Using the Ridepod, you can use it's physical attacks to defeat Halloween quickly and |
| easily. |
| |
| Occasionally, Halloween will leap back releasing Flotsam Balloons. These can be quite |
| annoying, but they won't deal much damage. If this happens, defeat all of them, then |
| quickly move out of the way otherwise Halloween will drop down on you. |
| |
| Halloween will also use physical attacks on you if you get too close to it, It usually |
| slams it's hands down on you, but it doesn't deal that much damage. |
| |
| Halloween's only effective attack is the Clown Robo's Attack. The missiles will deal more |
| damage than some of the other attacks, so stay on the move. The missiles that Halloween |
| releases should only follow you to a certain extent. |

== Channel Exit ==
Walk down the stairs to the left. Continue down the side of the Railroad towards the cave at
the other end. Max will then stop to look at the the Outside World. After a mew moments, the
Blackstone Railraod will come to a stop.
Soon later, your conversation with Cedric and the gang will come to a halt when they hear a
loud bang. When you're ready, climb up the ladder next to the Save Sphere and out the door
at the top.

| Grab the bombs that Cedric gives you and start |
| tossing them towards Flotsam. Once they hit him, |
| it will take off a large portion of his HP. |
| |
| Every so often, Flotsam will jump the train and |
| land on the other side. This isn't much of a |
| threat, it just makes the battle more difficult. |
| |
| The good news is that if you lose all of your HP, |
| you won't get the Game-Over screen. Instead, |
| you'll be notified whether you want to retry this |
| fight or return to the title screen. |

== Chapter Two: Ressurection of the Great Elder ==
Continue down the path next to the Save Sphere to enter Sindain. Once there, you'll meet up
with the Firbit Tribe. Once he runs off, chase him into the house and the story will continue.
Soon after Conda will open up the trail to the Rainbow Butterfly Wood.

== Great Fish Swamps ==
After the cutscene finishes, talk to the Firbit sitting on the log. When he asks for something
to drink, select the Grape Juice from your inventory. In return for the Grape Juice, the Firbit
will hand over his Fishing Rod and a Mimi (Bait). After you have obtained the Fishing Rod, cross
the bridge to the other side of the swamp. From here, look for a path that leads off to the left
where you will meet up with Master Utan. After speaking with Master Utan, pick up a Poison Apple
if you don't have one already, then continue back up to the swamp.
Pull out your Fishing Rod and attack a Poison Apple as the bait. After casting in you fishing
line, you should eventually see an (!) exclamation mark appear about Max's head. Quickly move
the left analog stick back to catch the Holy One.

| Take a picture of The Holy One before giving it the Priscleen Fish to obtain Scoop #3 |

After catching the Holy One, he'll agree to changing the other Firbits back to normal so long
as you give him a Priscleen Fish. You can catch this fish at the other Swamp. If you run out
of bait, speak to the Firbit sitting on the log and he'll give you more bait. After catching
the Priscleen Fish, return to the Holy One and give it to him. Now you can return to the
Firbits to find them back to their former self. Once the cutscene has finished, return to
Sindain.
== Sindain ==
When you have arrived back in Sindain, enter the Firbit's House. All the Firbits will now have
been reunited. After the Firbits leave the house, they'll wander off into the forest bringing
back the Carpenterion. The machine used to rebuild the villages of Dark Cloud 2. Once the
cutscene finishes, return to the FIsh Monster Swamp and speak to Master Utan. He'll remove one
of the boulders for you clearing a path to Floor 6.

you'll you'll be taken back to Sindain where you'll be given a hefty amount of Georama
Supplies. Once you are ready, return to the Rainbow Butterfly Wood.

== Two-Way Exit ==
This is the first encounter of the Star-Symbol and Sun-Symboled exits. The Star-Symboled
exit cannot be accessed until about Chapter Six. You'll be able to completely finish the
Georama Conditions at that time.

Dungeon Info: The white seal means that you cannot cure health or any abnormal status until all
the enemies on this floor have been eliminated. Find the Geostone, then advace to
the next floor of the dungeon.

== Rainbow Falls ==
You've come the end of the forest. At this point if you don't have the Sundrops or the Lafrescia
Seed, turn back and retrace your steps. If you already have it, throw them both in the small
pond. To do this, walk up to the small pond, press the square button, then use the Lafrescia Seed
and Sundrops.
After throwing in the Lafrescia Seed, a flower will pop out of the water. Throw the Sundrops in
the pond and the flower will outgrow it's own habitat. Touch the white substance that's hanging
off the side of the flower to get pulled up to the top.
Once you land on top of the flower, Monica will give her feelings about the top of the flower,
then Max will point out the Rainbow Butterfly.
== Boss: Rainbow Butterfly ==
See those yellow tentacles coming out of the middle? You need to hit each one with your sword.
Slash each one once and the Rainbow Butterfly will be attracted to the center of the flower. Do
not try to attack the Rainbow Butterfly as you won't inflict any damage to it.
While you're occupied with the yellow tentacles coming out of the middle, the Rainbow Butterfly
will also cfomplicate things for you by sending waves of fire at you. This can do significant
damage to your character but they're easy to avoid.
After all the yellow tentacles have been hit, the Rainbow Butterfly will have been attracted to
the center of the flower. After the Rainbow Butterfly has split into seven different forms,
you'll need to attack it in the following order...
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. (Roy G. Biv). For those of you who aren't
familiar with Indigo & Violet, Indigo is a dark purple, while violet is more of a light purple.
What makes this even mre complicating is that you'll have to sneak on them without making a
noise. This means NO RUNNING, NO MAGIC, and NO GUN SHOTS. The easiest way to get around this
is to walk slowly up to the small butterfly so you're standing on the small circular platform,
charge your weapon, then release. After you've defeated all the butterflies, you can return to
Sindain.
Update: An easier way to kill this butterfly is to switch to the ridepod and use the Barrel
Cannons to destroy each of the smaller butterflies one by one.
== Sindain / Balance Valley ==
Once in Sindain a notification window should come up on to the screen letting you know of a
change in thw future. Go to the future and talk to Elder Jurak. After a few cutscenes you'll
have access to the next chapter. When you're ready, speak to Cedric and let him know you're
ready to leave.
You will arrive underground in Balance Valley. Once you're out of the train, walk across the
bridge and out the door to your left. Enter the door to the house to enter another cutscene. A
short while through the cutscene Max will talk about a doctor that looks like a duck. Continue
back to Palm Brinks.
== Palm Brinks ==
Walk across the drawbridge, to the left up the church and up the path. If you stay along the path
you should eventually come to a wooden building with a symbol of a duck hanging off of the roof.
Enter the building to speak to Dr. Dell who completely misreads the transcript.
Anyways, back to the game. Once Dr. Dell has joined your party, return to Balance Valley and
enter the house. Once the cutscene finishes, you'll enter the next chapter of the story.
== Chapter Three: The Sage of the Stars ==
Note: This piece of music is qute calm and relaxing. The composer did a good job of creating this
piece of art. If you haven't listened to it yet, then you'll be missing one of the best
pieces of music in the game.
Exit the house and make your way behind it to a series of bridges. Cross both bridges, save your
game at the save sphere, then follow the path to your right to enter Starlight Canyon.

This level is very difficult because of the fact that the Elfas have very strong
armor, very powerful attacks, and Monica's magic doesn't hurt them. Kill all the
enemies on this floor and grab the Geostone.
Another thing you will notice is the Sun and Moon symbol exits. Unlike the last
time you came across these, this time you can go either way.

aware, this place can be an excellent source to pick up elemental stones. These
elemental stones can do significant damage to enemies.

There's nothing you can do here for now except watch a cutscene about the mystery behinf this

== Yorda's Valley ==
It's about time the voice acting and cutscenes came back into play. Okay, after the cutscene
finished it's time to head back to Balance Valley and work on your recreation of the village.
For the information on how to restore Balance Valley so you can advance further into the story,
refer to the 'Georama Conditions' section.
== Balance Valley ==
Work through Conditions 1 - 7. Once you have restored Lao Chao's Bistro, you'll get a window at
the bottom of th screen telling you to go to the future. Once there, Head down the bridges to the
right and enter the newly appeared building. After the cutscene finishes return to the past, then
head to Starlight Canyon.
Go to Barga's Valley. After the long cutscene is over, you'll be asked to find a stick. Head near
the waterfall and you should find a Handy Stick not too far away from there. Once you're done,
return to Monica.
Now you'll learn the Sphere Shot (No, not the Final Fantas X Sphere Shot). In other words you've
finished fishing and now you're going to show Tiger Woods what you're made of by playing Golf.
Follow the 'In-Game Instructions', then hit the sphere into the time portal. You only get three
shots so do your best. If you fail, you can always try again, so don't worry about having to go
back to the Title Screen.
A good play to this game is to hit the stars that you can find on the rock cliffs. This will
bounce the sphere into the time portal which will get rid of it. If you give up, talk to Monica
and tell her you want to quit. She'll make the shot for you, but you can't always rely on Monica
to help you out with this. Practice makes perfect.
After you (or Monica) managed to get rid of the Time Portal, you'll find the White Windflower on
top of the Condor's head. You'll recieve that, and a turkey. Now head back to Balance Valley
(Future) and give the White Windflower to Lao Chao. You'll enter quite a hilarious and short
cutscene, then you'll recieve the Miracle Dumplings. Hurry back to the past and feed the Miracle
Dumplings to Lin. After the cutscene, return to the Starlight Canyon.
== Yorda's Valley ==
Approach the large tree. Lin will finally start remembering everything that happened to Lin's
Master. After the cutscene you'll fight the Mini-Boss
== Boss: Memo Eater ==
Aside from the fact of how overweight this boss is, it is not slow, so stay on the move. Your
first instinct is probably to just start attacking it. That instinct is incorrect. The Memo
Eater can't be hurt by physical attacks. If you get too close to it, it'll slam itself on to
the ground which will take at least 25 hit points out of your Hit Points.
The Memo eater will also try and cast green flames of magic at you. Since I wasn't hit by them,
I can only guess that these will poison you dealing quite a bit of damage too. Just take out your
Ridepod and you can kill the Memo Eater in a few hits.
== Journey to the Lighthouse ==
After the battle is over, you will speak to Lin who has remembered everything. Cross the series
of bridges, then exit out of the other side.

== Future Sindain / Palm Brinks ==
Don't travel to floor 20 yet, as you'll ned to obtain the Gold Brush and give it to Parn. Parn
is located inside the house across from the church. Give the Gold Brush to him to bring Parn
and Julia to your party. Once this is done, return to Balance Valley. Place Parn inside of a
Brick House. Place a star lamp on to the brick house, then save Lin and you will have
restored the Tool Shop.
Once this is donem travel to Future Balance Valley and purchase the Starglass from the Tool
Shop. Now go back to Starlight Canyon and enter Floor 20.
== Lighthouse on the Cape ==
Walk up the path and enter the lighthouse. When you get to the stairs, press the square
button and use the Starglass. Once the cutscene finishes, you'll have the wonderful
pleasure of killing Gaspard. By now you've probably reaized this story is more about
Monica than Max.
== Boss: Gaspard ==
Aside from the fact that Gaspard is incredibly annyoing, his powerful attacks can be
blocked by using R1. Unfortunately his Melee attacks can be the critical part of this
fight.
His backflips can be somewhat frustrating too. Every time you're on a role, he'll most
likely backflip over you and immediately strike. If this happens, quickly block his
attack. Don't rush yourself through this fight because it won't be any good. If you
can, try to take care of him with items, it'll be much easier.
The most powerful attack he can probably do is his lightning wave. If you're lucky you
might survive it. After his lightning waves have finished he'l remain Neutral. This is
the time when you charge up your sword and crash down on him. It actually takes quite
some time to defeat him. If your lucky you may be able to go offensive for a few
seconds before moving back to defense. Gaspard is actually very easy as long as you
stick to the Offense and Defense strategy.
== Evil Flames ==
After a certain point, everything will stop and you'll be switched to Max. Switch to
the Ridepod and it should automatically target each of the flames. After a certain
point you'll switch back to Monica.

the future. Once there, you will meet up with Crest the Great Sage (Lin). She will
tell you that you have to go to Veniccio Coast. Once you gain control of your
character again, speak to Cedric, and let him know you are ready to leave. You’ll
now be heading to the ocean. Select Veniccio on the map. Save your game, then go
into the tunnel ahead.

Dungeon Info: Kill all of the enemies on this floor, find the Geostone, then locate the exit to
advance to the next floor. The Sand Molers are much harder than the original Molers
from before.
Bestiary: Sand Moler, Goyone, Statue (See Bestiary section).

Dungeon Info: Kill all of the enemies on this floor, find the Geostone, then locate the exit to
advance to the next floor.
Bestiary: Captain, Pirate Tank, Shiva (See Bestiary section).
== Cave of Ancient Murals ==
There's not much here. After examining the Murals, Shingala will pop out of the water who seems
to be controlled by a strange device on his head. The music will make you think that you'll have
to fight this thing, but everyone will escape and head back to Pau's House. This is where the
next chapter of the Georama System comes into place. It's time to restore the Lunar Labs. At
this point of the game you won't be able to advance further into the game untl you have restored
Lunar Labs. Look in the 'Georama Section' for more details.

Once you have completed conditions 1 and 2 you will be asked to go to the
future. Once there, Monica will point out a the new lab. Enter Lab 1 to
meet up with Osmond. He's the character from Dark Cloud 1 who's back for a
Cameo.
You'll need to invent the Aquarium now. There should be one inside the
mayor's office in Palm Brinks. Once you have the Aquarium, catch a fish
and place it in to the Aquarium. Feed the worm to the Fish, then get return
to the dungeon
