But you have a mere 1/8192 chance of finding one. don't bother wasting any time searching for shinies, i know from experience that however hard you search for them, they may never come.
just play the game through normally and hope that you meet a shiny somewhere along the way. thats how i found my shinies - golbat (red), onix (brownish) and a tropius in Sapphire (gold)
