Not really,
You need Gym Badges to a certain Lv. Pokemon to obey you.

Pokemon will only disobey you if you got them in a trade. If you are the owner then it will always obey you.

I know this is easy but it is also hard, once the gymleader says the lv limit thats how high it can get befor it stops obyeing!
