Talk to the guy in Torchlight that enchants your items for you. Select which item you want to enchant and press A, if it was a successful enchantment press Start and exit to title. this will auto save your game for you, after that continue your game and enchant your item again. If nothing happens or you lose all your enchantments, press the Xbox button on your controller and press Y to go to your Xbox dashboard. The game will not save and you will start the game from your save after the last successful enchantment. Always exit to title after each good enchantment and you can enchant your items without fail. |

Easier Upgrading |
Anytime you try to upgrade an item to add effects there's a chance you might lose an effect already on the item, or all the effects on it. Here is a way to upgrade without worrying about losing effects:
Go to Goren the item enchanter. First press START and select "Exit to Title." This will save the game, now start the game back up. Choose the item you want to upgrade and attempt to enchant it. If the upgrade fails then press the guide button on your controller, press Y and select "Yes." The game will not save and you will have your money and item still as it was before the upgrade.
This is very helpful if you try to enchant an item and it fails, making all the upgrades go away. If the upgrade is successful, then press START and select "Exit to Title." This will save the game with your new upgrade intact. You can repeat this indefinitely.
Note: This also makes the Achievement "Enchantment Overload" very easy as it requires you to successfully enchant an item 10 times. |

High Level Gem Augmenting |
Find a good gem such as a Deep Ember then item dupe it, combine those and so forth. You can end up getting full level ember. Be warned, it will take quite a long time to do this (it took me a little over an hour to upgrade 10-20 embers). In the end enchanting your stuff a lot with the always good enchantments cheat and getting 3 slots and putting full level gems in makes you insanely powerful. I know this because my bow has 29 enchantments & 3 gems.

Infinite Money |
Raise your Barter skill to level 10 and you can sell the following items for more than it costs to purchase them: Identify Scroll, Health Potion, Mana Potion, Town Portal Scroll. Repeatedly buy and sell these items to make infinite money. Note: This only works for regualr, not large, potions. |
|
Infinite Potions |
Create a new character. Once you're in town, place all your character's potions (including your Respec Potion if you have one) into the shared stash chest on the north side of Torchlight. You can now delete this character. Load another character, and you can pick up the potions your deleted character left in the chest. You can do this as many times as desired. |
|
Item Duplication |
Load your character using your main Storage. While playing the game, put whatever you want to duplicate into the "Shared Chest." Now, push START and go to options and select "Storage." Change the Storage to a Secondary Storage, if it wants you to override then it's OK. Once your secondary storage has been selected, exit to the Title Screen. Go to options and select your main "Storage 1." Enter the game again and if all goes well then your items will be copied. Exit thru game title to save before performing each copy as it will not save. |
|
Start Game With More Spells |
Take your original character and loot the mines or buy spell scrolls from merchants. DO NOT read/use them though. You can use the shared chest item transfer trick to give them to a new starting character. Place the spell scrolls in the Shared Chest in town and exit to the title screen through the pause game menu. Start a new game with new character and go to the Shared Chest to retrieve the spells left by your other avatar. You can use these spells to arm your new character and/or your pet with magic immediately. |
|
Start With A Pet Troll And Potion Of Respec |
On the start menu for Torchlight, look at the bottom of the screen for a spot where you can invite your friends to play the game. When you do, your next new game will start with a potion that allows you to reallocate all your spell points accumulated so far. You also get a fish that turns your pet permanently into a Troll with higher stats than the standard pet.
|
|
Start With Better Hand-Me-Downs |
When starting a 2nd game in Torchlight you can transfer all you items, weapons, armor and even rings, spells, ember and fish to you new character without having to delete your original character(s). As you explore the mines in torchlight the loot drops become more powerful and so do the item sold by merchants. Once you accumulate all the higher level armor and weapons you want. Place the best of your low level items, potions & no longer useful items in the Shared Chest in town. Works best with level 1 and 2 items or those that don't have a level requirement. Create another character of the same class by exiting to title screen in the start menu and pressing new. There's no need to delete your old character. When your new game begins you can raid the shared chest for better starting armor, weapons and even potions, ember and spells. Then sell the rest for money. This works for all items except quest-fulfilling items. Repeat as needed as you advance your higher level character. |
